Background:

When completed, the Eastmain-1 (480 MW) and Bernard-Landry (768 MW) hydroelectric projects, will provide in total 1,248 MW of important power generation.The Eastmain-1 project received the gold certification from the Hydropower Sustainability Alliance (HSA) in August 2023.
