This transition is happening at a rapid rate with new clean energy projects increasing exponentially. In partnership with IAIA and Environment and Development Services - International, Ciera developed guidance for conducting and managing strategic environmental assessments (SEA) of energy transition. This guidance detailed background on SEA, key issues associated with energy transition activities, including development of renewable energy options, retirement of coal-fired power plants and closure of associated coal mines, advice for policy and project planners, best practices for stakeholder involvement in SEA and guidance for institutions. The authors of the guidance are Barry Dalal-Clayton and Miles Scott-Brown.
