Background:

The 305.5 MW Reventazon hydroelectric project (HPP) is the largest in Central America and was commissioned in 2016. A key part of project financing was to ensure International Lender compliance with environmental, and social safeguard requirements.

Services Provided:

Ciera carried out quarterly assessments of safeguards and environmental and social compliance audits of the construction phase of the Reventazón hydroelectric project to certify that the project was compliant with all stated environmental and social requirements.
